Hi! Welcome to my little korner of the web, Allie*Katz*Korner!
I’m Cathy and I’ve recently been feeling a call back to my first loves, reading and writing. Growing up, I always had my head in a book, carried away to other worlds, while dreaming about the day when I would write my own novel, or become a journalist. I can’t count the number of books I read or the amount of poetry and short stories I wrote. This continued on into adulthood and though life took me in a different direction, my love of the written word stayed with me.
I have truly begun to feel the need for a creative outlet… enter my grand idea to create my own little “korner” on the web for just that! This blog will be focused on the written word such as book reviews (Yes, I’m planning to find my inner bookworm once again, I have missed her!!) Some of my favorite genres have always been historical romance (my very first love), thrillers, suspense, horror (such as Dean Koontz or Stephen King), mysteries, etc. I also enjoy contemporary womens fiction or even chick lit at times. There will be a variety of books here that I review.
In addition, I will be adding poetry (poetry always came to me at my hardest times and would flow onto the paper with such ease) and stories that I have written at times throughout my life, as well as writing that I will be doing in the future. I have begun creative writing classes and perhaps even have a novel in mind, who knows!
Last but not least, this blog will at times include antidotes and little stories about events in my life as they happen 🙂
